There may be an unexpected occurrence when the quantities on hand, committed, available or on order get out of synch with associated transactions. The Inventory Reallocate utility will re-read all outstanding transactions and recalculate inventory quantities as necessary.
Inventory reallocation is not a reversible procedure. It is generally advisable to make a snapshot of your data prior to running this function, in case unexpected results occur.
This utility is accessed from the top Inventory menu, choosing Inventory Reallocation. To be able to run this utility, you need to have the User security setting for Inventory / Reallocate Inventory enabled.
Before beginning the process, you have the option of additionally checking the serial and lot number details on outstanding transactions, in addition to the net quantities.
When processing is complete, you will be notified if any inventory items had quantity corrections performed.
There is a Copy Inventory button that will save this inventory list to the Windows clipboard, that you can paste elsewhere if you need to notify anyone else of affected items, or use as a work list to investigate changes to any or all items.
