Power BI is a powerful business analytics tool that allows users to visualize and share insights from their data. To enhance your Power BI experience, Spire has a custom connector that provides seamless integration with Spire. This connector enables you to effortlessly access and analyze your Spire data within the Power BI environment. The connector uses Spire’s API so only data that the user has access to in Spire, will be available in Power BI.
After Power BI is configured on your desktop, access the Integrations area of the Spire Server Administrator to start the setup.
Download
Click the Download button to immediately initiate the installer download process. Once complete, it is a straight-forward process to run the installer file and follow the prompts to get the connector.
Update Details
If you want to see what version of the Power BI Connector is currently available to download, along with any release notes associated with connector changes, you can use the Update Details to see this.
Using the Connector
Open Power BI, and use the Get Data procedure and search for Spire in the custom connectors. You then need to Authenticate the connection between Spire and Power BI, where your Spire hostname and database need to be indicated.
Finally, you provide your user id and password credentials for Spire access in order to complete the connection.
