Promotions are added to price matrix records, for grouping items together for quantity break pricing specials. Colour may be optionally applied to sales order lines to indicate a price matrix promotion is used.
You can open the list of promotions from the top Sales menu.
Code – An alphanumeric code up to 25 characters.
Description – The description of the promotion code
Cumulative – When enabled, and quantity break pricing is used, all item price matrix records that have the same promotion code will participate toward the quantity calculation of the price discount. This allows different items, each of which might not achieve a quantity price, to be grouped together so a quantity price is offered. If not enabled, the promotion relates to this order detail only and does not combine with other details.
Text Colour – The colour of the text in the unit price cell on a sales order detail that meets the promotion criteria.
Background Colour – The colour of the background in the unit price cell on a sales order detail that meets the promotion criteria.
