In order to use Card Present payments with Payfacto or Global Payments, you must create at least one payment terminal to facilitate integration. Payment Terminals are physical devices used to receive payments for credit card present sales orders and POS.
The list of Payment Terminals can be opened from the top Sales menu and the Payment Terminals selection, where existing terminals can be edited or new terminals created.
For Spire to communicate with a terminal, various settings must be provided. Most of these settings are provided by the credit card processor, and available in your setup documentation. Below are explanations of information not explicitly provided from them.
Code – An alphanumeric code up to 20 characters.
Inactive – Enable this option to allow this terminal to be visible for selection when accepting credit card payments.
Terminal Number – The device ID either provided to you from the payment processor, or indicated from device configuration from your workstation.
Sales Till – Optionally assign this payment terminal to a specified Sales Till.
