Not only can you run Spire Point of Sale from Spire Desktop, but a web-based Point of Sales process can also be used for taking customer sales orders, creating invoices and receiving tendered payments. Web-based sales has the advantage of not being tied to Spire Desktop workstations and can be used on mobile devices.

The left side of the screen contains action tiles to quickly perform common tasks, and Customer and Item lists to easily search for and add information to a sale. The right side shows information about the current sale in progress, including the items, customer and sale totals.

Tabs

The Inventory list tab allows you to add an item to a sale simply by clicking on the row. The search function allows you to locate specific items easier than by scrolling through the list. And scanning inventory barcodes can be done from here, in addition to other places within the POS screens.

The Customer list tab also allows you to search for a customer and add their information to the sale with a single click.

An Edit Tabs button allows you to modify Settings such as tab placement, assigned tab colour, or action tile positioning.

Action Tiles

The remaining one or more tabs are all dedicated to quick function action tiles to perform common tasks with a single click, or a single tap when using POS on a mobile device. You can have multiple tabs in order to organize tiles with similar actions or whatever makes use most efficient. New action tiles can be added using the Create Action tile, and an initial set of common functions can be set up using the Import Default Layout tile.

The New Action screen has this list of pre-set functions available to pick from

Each function can have a colour assigned to the tile for easier identification, and many have additional information to fill in.
