The calendar is related to the communications module. Select ‘Calendar’ from the main menu and all of the users communications will be show on each respective day that they are due. Communication notes that have a due date automatically get added to the calendar.
The user can decide if they want to see completed or unassigned tasks, and also choose the modules for which related communications display. If they have the security setting, they can also view any other users calendar. Each user shows on the calendar as a different colour.
Clicking on the date number in the top-left corner of the day box brings up the list of communications due that day. From this list, you can edit any communication or open the transaction window related to the note. Clicking the checkbox to the right of the communication title means that the noted task is completed. Or create a new communication note due on this day by clicking the ‘plus’ button to the right of the date.
Clicking on a specific note within a calendar day opens that communication, which can then be either modified or used to access the source transaction from the ‘Open Related’ button.
Other features include being able to drag items on the calendar to another date, and edit the communication and assign it to another user so it appears on their calendar.
Quickly Add to Calendar
When editing a Sales, Purchase or Production order, a button labeled “Add To Calendar” can be clicked to create a communications record assigned to the user and a due date equal to today. Then additional information or options can be included, or the user or dates or times can be modified as required
