Accessories are additional items that are included with this item when added to a sales order. Any number of accessories can be defined for an item.

From the Accessories tab, you can add or remove items for inclusion as order accessories, and open a highlighted item in a separate window for investigation or editing. Any item can be added, including those that have components or accessories assigned, thereby having multiple nested levels of items on an order. In the example above, the PRECORKIT item is a Macro item that will be replaced by multiple component items when added to a sales order. Also, non-inventory items may be included as accessories.

Show options dialog on order – Enable this option to open a screen when this item is added to a sales order to allow you to pick and choose which accessories will also be included, or modify accessory order quantities. Disable this option to automatically include all accessories on the order, which can later be modified in the details grid if desired.

Accessories displayed as nested items on orders, beneath the item they are associated with, and can be suppressed from view by clicking the arrowhead next to the main item number. Overall quantities of accessories are initially controlled by the main item, and if you change the Order Qty to something other than one, this new value will be multiplied with each accessory setup quantity, to calculate the accessory order quantities. Accessories on orders have independent prices and costs and can be modified as required.
