Enable Scrap and Yield – Enable if scrap and yield need to be tracked.
Enable Revision Level – User will be prompted for a revision number when editing a template.
Default Category – If categories on templates are always the same, then users can set a default category so it does not have to be manually entered.
Cost Method – Choose from Inventory, Current or Standard Cost, to determine the unit costs of components for production. Standard Cost is often used to determine manufacturing budgeting and profitability, and seeing by how much actual production costs differ. If either Current or Standard is selected, and this cost is different than Inventory, then building the production order will calculate the extended cost difference and post to the Differential Cost Account assigned below. If the selected cost for a component is zero, the production cost will instead be determined from the Inventory cost. You cannot set zero cost components this way when the Inventory cost is non-zero – Current or Standard have to be at least 0.01.
Differential Cost Account – When Standard or Current Cost is the selected Cost Method above, the net difference between this and production component Inventory Costs will be posted to this account.
Default WIP Account – The Ledger Asset Account that is inserted into a production detail line when a Build Phase is added. This account can later on be modified if desired, until such time that the component line is built.
