If you need to make one or more identical changes to a group of inventory items, it is possible to use the Import tool to do so, but the setup might be cumbersome. Instead, you can choose to highlight a selection of rows on the Inventory grid, either consecutive or not, perhaps with the assistance of a Filter or Search results, and click the Edit toolbar button to open the Edit Inventory screen.

This screen has a pre-determined set of statuses, field values or transaction defaults that you can choose from and determine the value(s) that will be saved for all selected items. Simply click the checkbox to the left of each value you want to update, and enter or select the desired value. Click OK to save the changes for each item.

There are additional tabs for Prices and Units and Sales Taxes, with additional information that can be edited.

If user security is configured to not allow you to modify a specific field value, those fields will similarly not be available for making changes from here as well.
