All Customer billing and shipping addresses can be opened in a separate window from the top Customers menu and selecting Customers Addresses.
The contents of this grid cannot be edited, but only is for displaying information. You can search for specific addresses either by using the Search box or Filters. A common reason to access the Addresses screen is to create a group of billing and shipping addresses within one grid, and Export them to an Excel or CSV file to use as an external data source for a mailing list Mail Merge.
Update Tax Codes – Another use of interest is when a change is required for updating sales tax codes on all addresses. From this screen, it is easy to see all addresses in one place, perhaps sorted or filtered by province or state or whichever group of customers requires this update. The Update Tax Codes button opens a Sales Taxes window, and when one or more codes are selected here, these will replace whatever the tax code configuration previously was on all selected addresses.
Move Ship To – If one or more Shipping addresses are highlighted on the grid, the Move Ship To button becomes active, and clicking it will open the Customer List window. Selecting another customer will remove the shipping address(es) from the original customer and create for the new customer.
